Forgotten Names Recalled: The Singapore Cenotaph Project

Into the Second Stage of the project now with the uploading of the PDFs to the website for researchers and others to find out the sources and resources used for the Forgotten Names Recalled. I've begun the uploads alphabetically for now at least, though this may change for no particular reason other than variety. This 'A's should be finished in a day or two. The 'Lost 12', as I've begun to think of them, are uploaded already as their information is zero. Hoping that will change once I move on to the Third Stage.

'What is the Third Stage?' I hear no one in particular ask. It's back to London and the National Archives and British Library and hopefully a few other places. There are records that I didn't get a chance to look at. The newspaper archive should be available again, so it'll be Third Stage/Further Research.

It might interest you to know that there is a Fourth Stage. This will be updating and maintenance and the contacting of schools and other organisations at a more leisurely pace than the lead-up to the book publication. If, or when, we have a second edition of the book the newly unearthed details will go into that. It's a revolving project, going backwards and forwards between the second, third and fourth stages.

'And what is the Final Stage?' I hear no one ask again. Beats me! It'll just keep going until it's finished or until someone else takes over. Sure as heck won't be when the money runs out: that happened months ago. Volunteerism rules on this sort of project.
